My Little Girl Bought a House!!!!!

Good morning everyone, looks like another sunny day on the way. We are finally seeing summer...... YES!
My little girl bought a house......whoohoo! I am so happy for her. It is a sweet place and once we finish painting and getting things to rights I will share some photos. Speaking of painting....and mom if you are reading this don't have a coronary...My mom and I are going to help do the painting tomorrow and Saturday and I have thrown my back out, yup, how did I do it? Okay, good laugh for everyone.....I bent over to take the wet clothes from the washer and lift into my dryer and boom. I am hoping it's just a slight aggravation cause if I miss out on painting my little baby's first house I will be crushed! I will just have to go, sit in a chair and supervise, hehehehehe yea right!
I am doing a switch over for today.....from PC Crafters to Kay Miller Designs.

An Update on the Killer Weed and a Card

Remember my earlier post about the killer weed in my gardens???? Well, we had to have 3 men come in and take it down!!!! The owner of a landscaping company said he didn't know what it was but that he had seen a few other cases of it but not nearly as bad as what mine was. It was soooooooo out of control it was chocking out all my perennials. Well folks I am happy to say...... his day is done!!!! It took these men 2 days to dig down to the root systems to remove it and clean up its trail of offsprings. he said they will have to come back in August and go at the new roots or it will just keep coming back!I should have taken a before and after picture, but seriously folks, it probably would have left you with a disturbed feeling!

Merry Christmas in July

Yes, it's that time of year again.........and then again in December.....Merry Christmas!!!
I don't know about your part of the world but around here our campers really love their Christmas in July. They have lights on their trailers, decorations and music going and they love to go Christmas shopping. So, I have started making some Christmas goodies (I am a little late this year but company just left yesterday so I am trying now to play catch-up)

The Hershey Bar Snowman sleeves are from Pc Crafters Warm Winter Wishes Collection. Soooo easy, just print, score, tape and slide. they are so adorable!

Another Rainy Morning

Good morning everyone. I am so totally exhausted right now I just want to curl up in a ball like a cat and swat my claws if anyone comes close, LOL I went to my Mary Kay Retreat Friday evening and Saturday, although I didn't stay over night as I needed to be here for hubby on account of his having had day surgery. On Saturday evening we had 21 people in for a lobster feast and then Sunday we went to New Ross for my hubby's family reunion (around 200 people). We have had some of his family staying with us and I gotta tell you......I am not used to having so many people around me alllll the time, and the fact that I have been living in the kitchen!!!! I truly am EXHAUSTED! we still have a couple people with us and one more coming today for a couple of days but hubby is taking them out for breakfast this morning while I go to my specialist appointment.
So, on to a card.

Rain Rain Go Away

Well, we have had rain for a week straight and the forecast is rain for the next 5 days!!! Groan, how is a girl suppossed to work on her tan with no sun?? Oh yea, it's called tan in a jar, hehehehe.
I have to take DH in for dental surgery this morning and then DD and I are headed off to the lake around 5:00 for a MK Retreat. FUN FUN FUN!

It's Saturday, It's Saturday, WhooHoo...... Wait a Minute, So What?

I just realized when I was typing my title that Saturdays are just another day for me. My husband still goes to work at 5:45 in the morning and gets home at supper time. I still do laundry, prepare meals, clean house, watch my doggie and if I'm lucky, make some cards.......sheesh my life sounds boring!
I have a couple cards to share today. The first one is a graphic from the PC Crafters Collection Oh My Dog. I thought it was fitting while my little four legged friend is still recouping from surgery. Man, she is like watching a two year old!!! She is now licking and biting her wound site. The licking is fine but she can't be biting her stitches!!!!! If I try to go outdoors, she tries to get out with me, if I come downstairs to use the computer, she tries to make the steps. I have to do everything when she is napping. Sound familiar to any of you young mom's?

When The Alarms Go Off

Update on my dog: Ollie's surgery went well, the Doctor discovered more damage than he originally thought but was able to repair everything. Picked her up this morning but she is not talking to me right now. She has some attitude happening. I think she blames me for her discomfort. HOpefully in a few days she will be up and around and lavisihing me with her wet sloppy kisses........aaaahh miss those wet sloppy kisses!!
Good morning everyone. It was an extra early morning for me. The alarms went off, for the second time this week, at one of my hubby's wharehouses at 4:15 so we took off and went down to check it out. Well, my hubby usual goes in and checks the building while I keep watch on the outside exit doors (from inside the locked truck that is hehehe) BUt this morning the alarm company called on our way there and told us to stay out of the building as there were 4 more detectors going off within the building that indicated that someone was walking around in there. This was a little scary for me. I always go with him whenever an alarm goes off but usually it's because of an animal or humidity setting the alarms off. Only once did we go to a call and discover that someone had indeed broken into our golf course, smashed a main door and took off with some money and I think booze. Anyway, we waited outside for about 15 mins for the police to arrive only to get a call from them instead that they were still about 20 minutes away. So hubby got his friend close by to go in the building with him to check things out. Meanwhile I'm sitting in the truck thinking all the worst things and wondering what on earth I would actually do if someone came barelling through the door. I mean, would I courageously run after him demanding him to stop? Would I fling the truck door open and whack him unconscious with it like they do in the movies? Well, seriously, what would I do? I guess I could only get a description of him and the direction he took off in! Anyway, thank goodness no one was in the building and I didn't have to be a hero after all.......moving right along.......My sweet doggie is scheduled for surgery in 1 hour and 45 minutes. Hubby and I are a mess over this but she is sleeping like a baby cause she has no idea. I soooo want her to get better!!!!
I had some time to create last night so I used a graphic from the Club Diva Collection from PC Crafters to make some birthday cards. I really like this particular graphic.

I'm Home

Good morning blogging buddies! I got home from Alberta last night around 8:30. I had a super fabulous time but it sure is nice to be home. I got to visit the Rocky Mountains and The Calagary Zoo for the first time in my life!!! Those mountains, WOW!! It was so great visiting with my nephew and his wife and they went out of their way to show us a good time but now......I have to get back on track, eat properly, sleep properly and lose some pounds. Oh my word, I was looking at the pictures of me on vacation and I thought holy smokes girl, you look like you coud be a whale at the Zoo!! Anyway, I certainly won't be posting any cards for a bit until I get straightened away but I miss you all!!!

Another Beautiful Day

I love love love seeing the sun. Saturday I came on with a bladder infection so spent a good portion of that day on the sofa. By Sunday afternoon I was in so much pain I ended up at Out Patients. I am on antibiotics and pain killers but the pain killers sure haven't kicked in yet!! So, needless to say I have missed out on a couple of beautiful sunny days!
I am leaving on Thursday for a week in Alberta so I probably won't be around until I return. Haven't had much time in the creative space, I've been too busy weeding and getting sick I guess.
